What We Cover: Basic living expenses in the areas of automobiles, home, family, and utilities

What We Don’t Cover: Fines or legal fees, security deposits, personal debt or credit card payments, or storage unit costs

Effective 2024, Join Hands Ministry has made significant changes to our furniture and appliance assistance program. Please take note of the following updates:

• Changes in Delivery and Storage: We no longer offer free delivery by volunteer men, and we have discontinued furniture storage at our facility. Additionally, we will no longer be accepting donations of furniture or appliances, and we will not have any furniture or appliances available at our facility.
• New Approach: Join Hands Ministry will now collaborate with donors in the community to meet the furniture and appliance needs of our clients. However, please be aware that these donors will not be able to deliver the items directly to you.
• Application Process: To request furniture or appliances, please fully complete the application form according to your need. After submitting the form, our team will review your application and forward your information (name, phone number, and item needed) to the donor.
• Contact from Donor: If the donor has the item you requested, they will contact you directly. Please refrain from contacting Join Hands Ministry to inquire about the status of your application once it has been submitted. Once your application has been forwarded to the donor, we are no longer involved in the process and will not follow up on your behalf.
• Timing: Please note that the timing for receiving items is not predetermined, as the donors have items coming and going.
• Confidentiality: Rest assured that all information shared on the application form will remain confidential within Join Hands Ministry. However, please be aware that your information will be shared with the donor to facilitate the assistance process.

Starting in 2024, Join Hands Ministry launched a new initiative aimed at supporting the youth of Perry County. This program includes a variety of components to foster the growth and development of young people. To learn more, click here. One key aspect of the program is providing financial assistance for extracurricular activities. Here’s the details:

• Financial Assistance: The program now offers financial support to help cover costs for extracurricular activities such as sports, arts, and academic clubs.
• Application Process: 
  • To apply for financial support, complete the application form detailing the activities you (the child) would like to participate in. Have a parent complete the section of the application pertaining to adult permission and have a reference letter submitted in the application or mailed to: Join Hands Ministry, 51 S. Church Street, Suite 1, P.O. Box 335, New Bloomfield, PA 17068.
  • After submission, our team will review the application, contact your reference, and take your request to our financial aid committee for approval.
• Timing: Please note that the timing for receiving funds is based on the committee meetings which may take up to one (1) month.
• Confidentiality: Rest assured that all information shared on the application form will remain confidential within Join Hands Ministry.
